Port du Moulin

A walk along the top path overlooking Guernsey, Herm and Jethou showed that the insect life is making the most of the warmer sun today.  Down on the beach, I sat drawing in charcoal pencil and watercolour, the glass-smooth granite pebbles banded with layer upon layer of quartz-sparkling greys and blacks.  Just sitting listening to the waves and the sound of oystercatchers calling to each other, such a perfect afternoon.

  1. Love the pebble drawing. My Grandad used to paint pictures on pebbles from Westward Ho.
