winter cliffs

As I write this the full moon has just risen up over the coast of France and it looks stunning.  It’s been another chilly but lovely sunny day.  I cycled out to La Coupee and then spent an hour painting on the cliff in the first big field in Little Sark, looking back towards Dixcart Bay and Jaspellerie.  The bracken has been cut and the ling is starting to show through.  So peaceful. Worked ’til my fingers couldn’t hold the brush, very cold NE breeze.
