Sark dig

This site in a field bank on Sark’s west coast is being excavated by Sir Barry Cunliffe and his team from Oxford University.  On the basis of the pottery found it can be dated to around 2,000-1,800BC   The green and red standing stones define a processional way.  A worked pebble from one of Sark’s beaches was also recovered, and has a hole through the middle of it.
